Singapore, April 2026 — Linkweez announces the signing of a $10M contract to transform a 50-floor office tower (90,000+ sqm of commercial space) in Singapore into a next-generation smart building.

The project, scheduled to start in September 2026 with a 12-month delivery window followed by ongoing maintenance, will see Linkweez engineer the connected infrastructure end-to-end: from low-level sensor integration to building management dashboards, AI-driven optimisation and tenant-facing applications.

End-to-end engineering at scale

This contract represents one of the largest single-deployment smart building projects in the APAC region for 2026, and a major validation of Linkweez's end-to-end engineering model. Unlike traditional smart building projects which typically involve five to ten subcontractors coordinated by a general integrator, Linkweez owns the technical responsibility across all layers:

  • Hardware design and procurement of sensors and gateways
  • Network architecture (BLE mesh, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi 6 backbone)
  • Security (PKI, secure boot, encrypted analytics, GDPR/PDPA-compliant data handling)
  • Cloud platform and AI-driven Building Management System
  • Tenant-facing mobile and web applications
  • Ongoing operations and SLA-backed support
"This contract validates our model: when one team owns the full stack, you ship faster, with fewer integration risks. The client gets one accountable partner, one timeline, one team they can call at 3am if anything fails."

— Dimitri Kiesse, CEO & Founder, Linkweez

Singapore as APAC delivery hub

The project anchors Linkweez's Singapore operations, which serve as the company's APAC delivery hub. Local presence in Singapore allows Linkweez to work directly with installation contractors, equipment suppliers and regional partners, while coordinating with the London headquarters for architecture and strategy, and the upcoming Paris R&D centre for AI Building Management Platform development.

Partner program now open. Linkweez is currently inviting partners in three categories to collaborate on this project:

  • Installation contractors — local Singapore companies experienced in commercial cabling, sensor deployment, BMS hardware installation
  • Equipment suppliers — sensors, gateways, networking equipment, BMS hardware, energy meters
  • Tech solution providers — niche software in HVAC, lighting, access control, security, energy optimisation

Roadmap

  • Sept 2026: Project kick-off, partner selection finalised
  • Oct 2026–Mar 2027: Phased rollout floor by floor
  • Apr 2027: Building handover and AI commissioning
  • May 2027 onwards: Operational phase with 24/7 monitoring SLA

The smart building will showcase Linkweez's full AI Building Management Platform — currently being completed at the Paris R&D centre opening in 2026 — and will serve as a reference deployment for future APAC commercial real estate projects.
